Details: JBC Associates was the Construction Manager for the PA Department of General Services (DGS) for two campus and athletic facility improvement projects which ran concurrently on the campus of Lincoln University. The two projects, combined and bid together during the bid phase, consisted of a $12.2 million general campus reconstruction of existing roadways, walkways and landscaping and an $8.1 million new athletic complex involving the construction of a new field house, stadium and track facility, storage building, additional tennis courts, softball and soccer fields with associated new roadways, parking, streetscaping, signage and walkways.
As the Owner’s representative, JBC was responsible for overseeing the construction of the project, coordination of the four prime contractors, assuring contract compliance through on-site construction inspection, schedule review and sequencing during construction, change order review, document control, coordinating DGS QA inspections with the Professional, and coordination with DGS, the University, local utilities and the Chester County Conservation District.
