Details: JBC Associates performed Construction Management services for the new Checked Baggage Screening System (CBIS) at Sector 23 and Terminal A-East baggage areas at the Philadelphia International Airport. The project included a new CBIS in Terminal A-East and an upgrade of the existing CBIS serving the east half of Terminal A-West to comply with the latest TSA standards. The construction of the new CBIS required work to be done in multiple phases to avoid interruption of the existing CBIS. The project necessitated construction of a Sector 23 Annex followed by installation of the CBIS.
JBC provided schedule review, progress monitoring, and construction inspection services for the new and expanded facilities. We also performed review of contractor Time Impact Analyses, as needed, during construction to resolve delays as they arose.
