Details: JBC provided Construction Inspection services as the Prime Consultant during the $42 million I-78 Interchange reconstruction and reconfiguration project at I-78 and PA 737 in Greenwich Township. The project which aims to increase the overall safety and emergency access on this section of interstate, began construction in 2015. The project involved reconstruction of approximately one mile of SR 78, reconfiguration of the SR 78/SR 737 interchange ramps, re-alignment of SR 737 and T-822 Zettlemoyer Road, replacement of the SR 737 Bridge over SR 78, and barrier modifications to the SR 78 Bridge over Old Route 22. Additional project elements included three retaining walls, a sound barrier, two cantilever sign structures, highway lighting, ITS relocation, flashing warning device improvements, drainage system improvements, guide rail, safety barriers, signing, pavement marking, delineators, snowplowable raised pavement markers, and other miscellaneous construction.
