Valley Forge Widening - MP 326 to MP 333

Details: Originally constructed in the 1950’s, this section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike underwent a “full depth” reconstruction and widening project along a 7-mile portion of the toll road. The project consisted of roadway widening from four to six lanes of mainline I-276 from the Valley Forge Interchange to the Norristown Interchange and the replacement of two overhead bridges, the Route 202 Bridge and the Flint Hill Road Bridge. Other aspects of the project included construction of sound barriers, box culverts, shoulder widening, guide rail replacement with new concrete barriers and the replacement of seven (7) other bridges in the project area. JBC performed construction management and construction inspection services on four (4) separate construction sections under this contract.
