JBC Associates provided CPM Scheduling services for the new five-story 200,000 SF, outpatient facility which brings together primary and specialty care clinics, community wellness, social services and behavioral health care services under one roof on the SUNY Upstate Medical University campus.
The Nappi Wellness Institute is an expansive medical facility which succeeded in achieving the first WELL Building Institute certified healthcare facility in New York state.
The LEED Gold medical facility features more than 240 exam and consultation rooms for primary care and specialty care for chronic diseases, as well as laboratory and radiology services, urgent care, an infusion center, breast center, dental services, a clinical research unit, clinic embedded behavioral health services, refugee center, and the Joslin Diabetes Center. The building connects to an existing proton therapy center via a connecting sky bridge and over an existing roadway.
JBC was engaged by the Construction Manager in 2017 during the Design/Pre-Construction phase to provide CPM Scheduling services. JBC’s Senior Scheduler prepared a detailed schedule during Schematic, Design Development and 60% complete Construction Document phase to verify the construction duration and identify crucial milestones for incorporation into the final Contract Documents.
When construction commenced in 2020, JBC continued providing Schedule Review of the contractor’s Baseline Schedule and monthly schedule updates throughout construction.
