A Day at the Ballpark with Reading Fightin Phils
This June, the JBC Associates team enjoyed a well-deserved break from the office and job sites to enjoy a sunny, spirited day at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, PA, as the Fightin Phils battled against the Hartford Yard Goats. x
Even the summer heat couldn’t put a damper on the fun. The day was filled with laughter, great food, and lively conversations as team members and their families shared smiles and stories. Project Manager, Mike Sensenig’s son snagged a fly ball from in the stands! A few families who recently welcomed new babies brought their bundles of joy along to share the day and meet team members. For some it has been an extended period since they’ve connected (in person), making the day even more notable. These moments of connection remind us of what truly matters: the people who support us — both at work and at home.
“It’s more than baseball and hot dogs — it’s about connection, laughter, and the chance to spend time with co-workers I don’t get to see often and to meet their families. Grateful for moments like these to build a stronger team.”
— Robin Bender, HR Generalist
To our dedicated team — thank you. Your tireless efforts, collaboration, and commitment to excellence are the foundation of everything we’re building. Your work continues to shape the impact we’re making across the region and beyond, and we couldn’t be prouder to share this journey with you.
JBC’s Executive Vice President shared, “As hot as the day started — unlike the R-Phils, or should I say The Hotdogs — it was great seeing everyone and their families enjoying time together outside the usual work setting. Watching our staff’s kids have fun, especially catching a foul ball, was a real highlight. I’m already looking forward to making more memories next year!”
— Scott Shaeffer, PSP PMP
As for the ball game, Hartford Yard Goats dominated offensively, scoring consistently throughout. Fightin’s only run came late in the game, unable to mount a comeback. The final score was Harford Yard Goats 9 and Fightin’s 1 … Ouch!
Here’s to more shared moments, stronger connections, and continued success — on and off the field!
